This warm ruana is an excellent gift for someone who values hand work. The ruana is a kind of poncho with an opening in the front so you can cross it over your shoulders.

This Ruana with Altiplano designs is produced by the artisans at Nairar Sarañani and it inspired by a typical scene from the Andes: a group of llamas carrying packs on their backs. Llamas a very much appreciated in Bolivia because, besides being pack animals, their fresh or dried meat (the latter known as jerky), skin, hair and bones are used as well.

The Ruana is made with a mixture of:  75% llama and sheep fiber and 25% synthetic so it is both warm and light.

Colors: raw white, black, beige and  grey.
