This wonderful hammock is hand made by craftsmen in the department of Santa Cruz, the tropical region of Bolivia on the edge of Amazonia where the women get together to pass along their knowledge and to generate jobs and income for their communities.
An ancestral (pre-colonial) technique of a vertical loom is used in the manufacture. It consists of two compound bars that a general eucalyptus trunks.
It is made of cotton that, besides being an excellent, durable material is also anti-perspirant.
This hammock also has beautiful macramé details that contribute to its unique style.
