This cap is made by hand, starting with spinning the alpaca wool that is used to knit it by hand, which takes quite a bit of time. Although hand spinning produces a more irregular, less soft knitted garment than the one produced mechanically; nevertheless it is still just as warm. The outside of the cap is combed when it is completed which hides the stitches and makes it softer. The cap also has a pompon on top with ear extensions typical of the Andean chullo (cap) that can be tied under the chin.
With a plain color and mostly made from Andean alpaca wool, it is very warm; the natural hues will go with any garment, whether casual or more sophisticated. When fall arrives, this cap will be your best ally.
